Leann Baker

LeAnn Reeder Baker, 58, of Shelley, passed away at her home on September 10, 2022 of Glioblastoma.

She was born in Ogden, Utah, on March 15, 1964 to Michael Reeder and Sandra Rae Camp. LeAnn graduated from Bonneville High School and attended Weber State University, minoring in French and majoring in Mathematics, Physics, and Environmental Geoscience. She married Garyn Baker in Brigham City on May 29, 1992, and they were sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple in 1994.

She was a talented baker and cake decorator, and for a time, she owned The Cupcake Factory in Idaho Falls. She worked for Fin Fun for many years, and was one of their first employees. She loved the great outdoors. She enjoyed skiing, camping, and visiting Yellowstone. She loved puzzles and games, and could always be found reading. She was an avid scholar with a passion for teaching. She spent several years as a substitute teacher for various grades in the Shelley School District, and her dream was to finish her degree and obtain a teaching certificate. LeAnn had many adventures, and traveled the world with her sweetheart and family. She was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints and served many callings. She had a strong testimony and love for the Gospel and her family.

She is survived by her mother, Sandra Camp Reeder; four brothers, Roger (Patricia), Bryant (Lori), Matthew (Marisa), Kevin (Kathryn); her husband, Garyn; two daughters, Lasandra (Jalin) Hunter, Jacqueline; one son, Seth; two grandsons, Ethan Baker and Oliver Hunter; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Michael Reeder.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 15, 2022 at the Taylor Ward Building (1101 East 1250 North). The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 till 7:30 p.m. at Nalder Funeral Home (110 W Oak Street) in Shelley and Thursday morning from 10:00 a.m. till 10:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery.
