Alaura Louise Trent

A. Louise Trent, 75, of Basalt passed away April 23, 2009 of complications due to a stroke.

She was born April 7, 1934 in Shelley to Clifford R. Mitchell and Shirley L. Johnson Mitchell. She attended school in Shelley.

On September 15, 1956 she married Marvin L. Trent of Twin Falls. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple. They lived in Pocatello, Twin Falls, Basalt, Oregon, and Wyoming.

She enjoyed raising and cooking for her children. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed drawing, painting, reading, and gardening.

She held many callings and was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

She is survived by he husband of 52 years, Marvin of Basalt; children, Terri (Alan) Williamson of Meridian; Joel (Ilene) Trent of Idaho Falls; Delwyn Trent of Provincetown, MA; Kristi Trent of Shelley; Arden (Tammy) Trent of American Falls; Kendall (Liza) Trent of Firth; Cameron (Jodi) Trent of Boise; 15 grandchildren and one great grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, and two children, Lorin and Deena.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 2, 2009 at the Firth Stake Center (823 North 675 East) in Basalt. The family will receive friends Saturday morning 9:00 till 10:30 at the church. Burial will be at the Basalt Cemetery under the direction of Nalder Funeral Home in Shelley.
