Barbara Gayle Wells

Barbara Gayle Wells, 76, of Shelley passed away Monday August 26, 2013 at her home of natural causes.

She was born in Idaho Falls, May 19, 1937 to Louella and Herman Albers. She was the youngest of 11 children.

She grew up in Idaho Falls and graduated in 1956 from Idaho Falls High School. She worked at the Rio Theater and other small jobs. She married Douglas Wells of Woodville and was later sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple.

She enjoyed spending time in the outdoors with her family hunting, fishing, camping and horseback riding at Swan Valley. She was a member of the Eagles, worked at French’s and Pillsbury for many years and then retired. After her husband passed away, she started helping at the Food Bank and the Senior Citizens in Shelley.

She always enjoyed serving others.

She is survived by her children: Kevin Wells of Idaho Falls, Steven (Natalie) Wells of Shelley, Kathy (Don) Bateman of Shelley, Kurt (Jill) Wells of Shelley, and Angie (Kevin) Voas of Chula Vista, CA.

Four sisters, Shirley (John) Peterson of Idaho Falls, Darlene (Jack) Lindsey of Oregon, Liz (Darwin) Goldsberry of Utah, and Jean Decorcia of New Jersey.

16 Grandchildren, and 21 Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, mother & father, 4 brothers, and 2 sisters.

She will be greatly missed and always remembered for all the good things she did and good times we had.

The Family will visit with family and friends, Thursday evening August 29

th

from 6:00 pm till 8:00 pm at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) in Shelley and from 9:30 am till 10:40 am Friday prior to services at the church.

Burial will be at Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery.
