Barbara Grace Cook Cromwell, 81, of Idaho Falls passed away Thursday, April 10, 2014 peacefully at her home surrounded by her family.
Barbara was born September 27, 1932 to George and Mildred Adamson Cook. She was raised in Mud Lake and Shelley. She attended Mud Lake Elementary School and Stanton Elementary School. She graduated from Shelley High School in 1950.
She married Vernal Dean Cromwell on September 20, 1950. Together they raised their four children.
Barbara worked at RT French in Shelley where she was a Head Grader, Idaho Supreme Fresh Pack and AEC Snack Bar.
She enjoyed driving Spud Truck, Canning, Crocheting, watching her grandchildren play sports and dance recitals; family dinners, picnics with the family, raising farm animals – pigs and calves were favorites of hers.
She is survived by her husband, Vernal Cromwell; her 3 daughters, Christine Cromwell; Dena (Chris) Harker; Tana (Mark) McKenzie and her son, Loren (Laurie) Cromwell. Five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on April 18, 2014 at Fox Hollow Ward Chapel, 2345 W 17
th
S, in Idaho Falls. The family will receive friends Thursday April 17, 2014 from 7:00 to 8:30 pm at Nalder Funeral Home 110 W Oak St. in Shelley and Friday from 10:00 to 10:40 am at the church prior to services. Burial will be in the New Sweden Cemetery.
