Ben Durfey returned to his Heavenly home on Thursday, June 18th, 2020. Ben was born on April 10th, 1975 in Ogden, Utah. Ben married his sweetheart, Londi Schow on June 8th, 1996, and later was sealed for time and all eternity in the Idaho Falls, Idaho Temple on October 11th, 1997. Together they created a beautiful family having been blessed with seven children: Ashtyn, Chandler, Jensen, Anzleigh, Blayre, Collyns, and Benjamin ‘Hawkins’.
Ben was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was always in the service of those around him, especially to his wife and children. Ben was always desirous to become a better follower of Christ and then taught that to his children by his example.
Ben developed a knack for working on and repairing trailers and RVs, eventually establishing his own business; Red Rock RV Service and Repair, which he successfully operated until his passing. Ben was a handyman for the ages and could fix anything or build anything that he desired. Whether that was completely rebuilding the transmission for one of his vehicles, building a custom fireplace, or fixing a simple toy that came from a two-dollar Kinder Joy treat he had gotten for his beloved children. Ben was loved and admired by many, especially his children. Ben was a phenomenal husband and father. Everything he did, he did for his family. Ben loved his family more than anything and dedicated his life to building a happy and comfortable life for his wife and children. Ben loved the outdoors and spending time with his family. He loved camping with his family, hunting, and snuggling up at home to watch a movie with his children.
Words cannot adequately describe the type of husband, father, and man Ben was. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his loving wife, Londi; children, Ashtyn (Tanner) Higham, Chandler (Tanner) Street, Jensen, Anzleigh, Blayre, Collyns, Hawkins Durfey, Father-In-Law; Phillip Schow.
A graveside service will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday, June 25, 2020 at the Taylor Cemetery, in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
