Beth Elga Taylor Bair, 94, of Shelley, Idaho passed away peacefully February 8, 2014 at the Homestead Carriage House Assisted Living at Rexburg, Idaho.
She was born at Burley, Idaho the second of five children of Glen Isaac Taylor and Leona Elizabeth Campbell Taylor.
She spent her early years in Delta, Utah; Burley and Rupert Idaho and moved to Shelley when a teenager.
She attended Shelley High School.
She married Myron Clint Bair in the Salt Lake Temple, November 25, 1936.
She helped her husband on the farm in the Shelley area for many years.
An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints all her life, Beth served in many capacities. She also, served with her husband in the Idaho Falls Temple as officiators for several years.
In 1985 they served a mission together in the Florida Tampa Mission.
After her husband passed away in 1986, she served several years in the name extraction program in the Shelley Stake.
In 1993 she served a mission at the Family History Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Beth enjoyed reading, sewing, gardening, family history, and especially her family.
She loved her family and enjoyed having them stop in for a visit.
She is survived by her three children, Carolee (Martin) Harris of Rexburg, Connie (Karl) Kelley of Shelley and Gene (Patsy) Bair of Island Park; 23 grandchildren; 92 great-grandchildren and 79 great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, one brother and three grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Homestead Assisted Living Center in Rexburg for the loving care they provided Beth.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Feb 14, at Shelley Stake Center, 325 East Locust Street in Shelley with Bishop Terrell Hoskins officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Nalder Funeral Home, 110 West Oak in Shelley and Friday from 9:30 to 10:40 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Interment will be in the Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery under the direction of Nalder Funeral Home.
