On July 25 2020, Bryan Michael Hersley, 42, passed away with his family by his side after a hard fought battle with cancer. Bryan’s life may have been cut short but he touched the hearts of many while he was with us.
Bryan was born July 6, 1978 to Bernard and Patricia Hersley. He grew up in Idaho Falls where he graduated from Idaho Falls High School. Bryan excelled in academics, sports and built long lasting friendships. He went on to receive a Bachelor in Business Administration degree from Idaho State University. He worked as a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional until his death.
Bryan was an incredibly dedicated husband and father and loved his family tremendously! His greatest joy in life was raising his two sons Preston and Reece whom he shared with former spouse Jeni Hersley. In March 2019, Bryan married his soulmate Melissa Newell. With this marriage brought three loving step daughters, Kaylee, Lacie and Miley. They joined their families together establishing bonds that will last a lifetime.
Bryan put his whole heart in everything he did and always had a big smile on his face. His enthusiasm for life, family and friends was contagious. This enthusiasm continued with his love for Oklahoma Sooner football. They may never lose again with Bryan cheering them on from heaven.
Bryan is preceded in death by his sister Karen. He is survived by his wife Melissa, sons Preston and Reece, step daughters Kaylee, Lacie and Miley, father Bernard, mother Patricia, as well as siblings Arlene, Loura, Tom, Mark, and Scott.
