Carol M. Robinson

Carol Mae Bateman Robinson, 92, of Firth passed away March 11, 2015 at The Moticello Assisted Living Facility in Idaho Falls.

Carol was born on April 2, 1922 at her parent’s farm just south of Shelley to Ida Emma Jones Bateman and Marvin Jesse Bateman.

She was the second oldest of seven children.

She had five sisters: Roberta Dunnam, Aurora Bateman, Gail Johnson, Margaret Carlson, and Yvonne Williams, and two brothers: Marvin F. Bateman and J. Reese Bateman.

She attended school at Shelley and enjoyed playing with her brothers and sisters and all her cousins.

She married Gale W. Robinson on August 27, 1940.

They had four children: Jimmy W. Robinson, Sherrie Robinson, Gary Robinson, and Dianna G. Robinson.

Carol and Gale were sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple in 1947.

Carol was active in the LDS Church and held many positions including Sunday School and Young Womens Teacher and Ward and Stake Librarian.

She enjoyed serving, housekeeping and having parties with all her relatives and family.

Carol loved nature and enjoyed traveling, horseback riding and camping.

Carol was very open, kind, understanding, and giving.

She was always concerned about others welfare and comfort.

She is preceded in death by her husband Gale, two infant children, Sherrie and Gary, four sisters, Aurora, Roberta, Gail and Margaret.

She is survived by two children, Jimmy W. Robinson of Shelley and Dianna G. Robinson of St. Anthony, one granddaughter, Lucinda Rudolph of Pocatello, five great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren, one sister, Yvonne Williams of Pocatello, and two brothers, Marvin F. Bateman of West Valley, Utah and J. Reese Bateman of Ammon.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at the LDS Stake Center at 823 N 675 E in Basalt.  The family will receive friends Tuesday morning from 10:00 till 10:45 A.M. at the church.  Burial will be in the Firth Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Nalder Funeral Home in Shelley.
