Clotilde “Tita” Ramirez, 78, of Idaho Falls passed away June 21, 2008 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Hondo, Texas, September 27, 1929 to Ponciano Quintanilla and Maria del Luna Garza Quintanilla. On April 3, 1948 she married Luciano M. Ramirez in Hondo, Texas. Spending her childhood years in Texas, in 1954 she and her husband chose Idaho to raise their children.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ Spanish Branch where she served many years in different capacities but most notable as the Primary President and Relief Society President with Primary being her most favorite calling.
She is survived by her husband, Luciano Moreno Ramirez; two sisters, Odelia Garcia and Maria Rosa Rodriguez; her children: Christine Walker, David Ramirez, Grace Hailey, George Ramirez, Chano Ramirez, Richard Ramirez, Jerry Ramirez, Rodney Ramirez, and Ernie Ramirez; 34 grandchildren; and 55 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 25th at the LDS Ward Building on 21st and Higbee in Idaho Falls. The family will visit with friends Tuesday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Nalder Funeral Home, 110 West Oak in Shelley. Burial will be in the Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery.
