Connie Bernice Carter, 80 Passed away on January 29, 2024 at her home with family by her side.
Connie was born in Idaho Falls, ID on January 30, 1943 to James and Bernice Carter.
When she was 14, her family moved to Menan, ID where Connie learned to farm. She graduated from Rigby High School in 1961. While attending Rigby High School she was voted “Miss Personality” and was a member of the student council. Connie loved to sing and played the trombone while in school. She was also very talented at creating birthday songs for family and friends.
On July 4, 1961, Connie married Welby L Huffaker. They had Two daughters. They later divorced in September 1972.
Connie was a very successful sales person. She was very charismatic and could light up a room. Laughter was her favorite medicine. In 1984, Connie started a personnel agency and called it “Carter Personnel”. She did very well with her business and sold it in 1999, then started a new adventure in Island Park, ID. Connie worked at Island Park Village Resort for 13 years and retired in 2013. She lived in Island Park for over 20 years, then moved back to Idaho Falls in 2022.
She is survived by her daughters Kim Walker (Idaho Falls, ID) and Rayna Williams (Shelley, ID), 2 grandchildren Jasper Williams (Marie) Salem, OR and Jesse Williams (Marty) Sparks, NV, 1 brother Lance Carter (Kenna) Sugar City, Idaho.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents and sister Jyneal Hooker. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
