Connie Lou Thompson, 87, passed away Friday April 13. She was under the care of Life Care Center.
Connie was born November 11, 1930 to Melvin and Louella Bowles. She was the second oldest to a family of 6 children. She and her sister, Bonnie, loved playing dress up and house with their youngest sister, Louise.
Connie married the love of her life, Jesse Lenard Thompson, on October 13, 1950 in Idaho Falls. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They made their home in Idaho Falls where Connie had various jobs but mostly loved being a homemaker to her husband and son Mike.
Connie loved telling jokes and she loved her coffee. She loved to look beautiful and always made sure she had on make-up and her hair was perfect. She would always be seen around Life Care Center, holding a picture of her husband and bragging about how handsome he was.
She loved being with her family. Her sister Louise was always her biggest advocate and visited her every day. When Louise passed away the staff at Life Care became her family. They all loved her and loved spending time with her.
Connie is proceeded in death by her loving husband Lenard. Her parents, brothers Bob and Doug, and sisters Bonnie and Louise. She is survived by her brother Blaine (Ilene) Bowles, her son Mike, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held, Wednesday April 18 at 1:00 PM at Fielding Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Nalder Funeral Home. We would like to give a big thank you to the staff at Life Care Center for taking care of Connie and loving her for the last 7 years.
