David Clyde Weatherston

September 25, 1950 — July 9, 2007

David Clyde Weatherston, 56, of Idaho Falls passed away July 9, 2007 at his home of natural causes. 

He was born in Shelley, Idaho September 25, 1950 the third child and first son of Heber Clyde and Genevieve Nalder Weatherston. David grew up on his parent’s farm in Goshen, Idaho where he learned to work hard. He was educated in Firth and graduated from Firth High School.  He loved music and played trumpet in the band throughout his school years.  He also loved sports and ran on the track team in high school. 

Following high school, he went for one year to Ricks College before moving to Arizona to study auto mechanics. While in Arizona he met and married Sandra McNulty.  They were later divorced.  Later he married Kaylynn O’Brien and they also divorced.

For a short time, following his return to Idaho, he worked various farm jobs before going to work as a motorcycle and snowmobile mechanic for what is now Recreational Sports and Imports.  He worked there, in various capacities, until his death.

David loved the outdoors.  For several years he rode with Iona Posse.  After giving up his horse he took up biking.  He competed in several bicycle races including one from Logan, Utah to Jackson, Wyoming

David is survived by his parents of Presto, siblings; Ann (Skip) Walker of Presto, Carol (Ted) Christensen of Blackfoot, Bruce (Lynnell) Weatherston of Roosevelt, UT., Neil Weatherston of Presto and Lindy (Joe) Dominick of Ontario, OR and 17 nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 14th at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) in Shelley.  The family will visit with friends Saturday morning 9:30 till 10:45 at the funeral home.  Burial will be in the Goshen Cemetery.
