Dawna Sievers Whittle

Dawna Sievers Whittle, 82, of Idaho Falls, formerly of Firth, peacefully passed away February 5, 2009 at Riverview Assisted Living of congestive heart failure.            

She was born January 13, 1927 at Ammon, Idaho to Carl Theadore Sievers and Lillie Mae Winder.  She attended school in Ucon.            

On June 5, 1946 she married Keith Martin Whittle at Ucon, Idaho.  They lived in the Idaho Falls area and moved to Firth in 1960 where they lived most of their lives.            

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where she served in many positions including; Primary, Activity Days, and Young Women’s.            

Dawna was a good cook and seamstress.  She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and cross stitch.  She will be remembered by many as the Avon Lady.            

She is survived by her husband, Keith of Idaho Falls; three daughters, Brenda (Craig) Criddle of Draper, Utah; Patti (Rod) Cook of Brigham City, Utah; and Holly (James) Montgomery of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; one son, Scott Whittle of West Jordan, Utah, one brother, Max (Ann) Sievers of Idaho Falls, 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.            

She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Jack, sister, Bonnie Monson, granddaughter, Rebecca Criddle, and great granddaughter, Camille Morales.

Memorial Services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday February 7, 2009 at the Firth Stake Center (823 North 675 East) in Basalt with Bishop Blaine Wilding conducting. The family will receive friends 12:00 till 12:45 P.M. before the services at the church.  Interment will be in the Firth Cemetery under the direction of Nalder Funeral Home.
