Dee Nelson

November 9, 1932 — December 12, 2024

It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of our loving mother, DeAune “Dee” Nelson, on December 12, 2024. She left us while sleeping peacefully at the Gables in Shelley, Idaho.

Dee was born in Shelley, Idaho to Carl and Olga Adolfson on November 9, 1932.

She worked in real-estate where she owned Mountain River Reality with her brother, Ed Adolfson.

She spent many winters in Mesquite, Nevada where she enjoyed golfing and Razor rides.

She was a member of the Chamber of Commerce Civitan where she enjoyed serving beer at alive after five.

Dee is survived by her four daughters: Kathy (Mike) Messick, Karen (Shane) Bragg, Sheri (Carl) Dice, and Malina Nelson (Brian Gray); her seven grandchildren: Cody Messick, Casey Messick, Jared & Teva Bragg, Jolene & Chris Street, Nichole & Jemre Okoh, Carl G. Dice, Kelley Wells & Lindsay Jones, and 17 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Olga, and two brothers: Roy Adolfson and Ed Adolfson.

A special thank you to the Gables of Shelley and Brio Hospice for the wonderful way they cared for our mother.

The family deeply appreciates your support during this difficult time and asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the DeAune Nelson Memorial Fund at the Bank of Commerce in Shelley.
