Delwin Roy Fielding, 79, of Firth, passed away November 24, 2007 at his home with his family at his side.
He was born August 18, 1928 at Jameston, Idaho to Roy Edmund Fielding and Ethel Soelberg Fielding. He grew up in the Jameston area and attended school at Shelley.
He married Marilyn Kelley June 4, 1947 in the Idaho Falls Temple. He was self employed as a welder and loved to weld. He was an Eagle Scout and was an active member of the LDS church where he held various callings. He and Marilyn served missions in Atlanta, Georgia, the Family History Centers in Salt Lake City, UT and Idaho Falls as well a Stake Mission.They also served as ordinance workers in the Idaho Falls Temple.
He is survived by his wife Marilyn of Firth; son Delynn (Margaret) Fielding of Castledale, UT; daughters Sheryl (Bruce) Koon of Ririe; Vickie (Steven) Best of Shelley; Sheree (Calvin) Baird of Fountain Green, UT; Robyn (Mike) Astel of Smoot, WY; Keleen Butler of Nampa and a son Brian (Cynthia) Fielding of Firth. His brothers and sisters; Mildred (Daryl) Peterson; Shirley Coffey; Jay (Joan) Fielding; Don (Norma) Fielding; Ronald (Eloise) Fielding; Steven (Linda) Fielding; Elaine (Steven) Finlinson; Phyllis (Gary) Wade; Nadine Faile; Illene (Clair) Palmer and a Brother-in-law Alan Thomas. 33 Grandchildren and 55 Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sons Delwin Brent Fielding and Richard Kelley Fielding, a sister Reva Thomas and a brother Mark Eli Fielding.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday November 27, 2007 at the Firth Stake Center (823 North 675 East) in Basalt with Bishop Kim Leavitt, conducting. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) in Shelley and Tuesday morning 9:30 till 10:40 A.M. at the Church. Interment will be in the Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery.
