In 2010 he and Norma served a full-time mission in the Idaho Falls Temple Visitor’s Center.
Several interests and hobbies filled Derryll’s time, and he spent many years doing woodwork, building custom cabinets, desks and other pieces of beautiful furniture for clients and customers all along the Snake River Valley. Music played a very large part in Derryll’s life. He studied the violin and played the piano by ear. He also participated most recently in a guitar group. He loved singing and making music with his children and family. He was also an avid reader and enjoyed researching family history. He was especially fond of ice cream.
