She was born on September 15, 1917 to Fonzo and Pearl Wagstaff Tyner in Shelley the 3rd of three children. She was raised in Shelley by her aunt & uncle Thomas and Lela Binch and was very well liked. Donna married Vernon “Bill” Eaton on July 4, 1940 in Shelley by the Justice of the Peace M.L. Wirt. They were later sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple in 1948. Together Bill & Donna raised five children Tom, Keith, Verlene, Dale, and Larry.
Donna had a true love of the Lord Jesus Christ. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was a lifelong member of the church and served in many positions, including Secretary of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.
She enjoyed reading, genealogy and various types of handwork, such as crocheting, quilting, & knitting. She loved camping and fishing with her husband and their children in Island Park, Coffee Pot Rapids, and Riverside Camp Grounds. Donna & Bill spent the summers in Island Park on their property on Cascade Lane. She loved the smell of the Pine trees and all of the wonderful wild flowers and loved to watch the leaves change color on the Quaking Aspen Trees.
Our mother & loving wife Donna, was an excellent cook and enjoyed making candy, chocolates, pies, & cakes. When ever you visited at Donna’s house, you left with a full tummy and a smile on your face.
