Dorothy (Larsen) Wadsworth, 92, formerly of Shelley, passed peacefully in her sleep on February 20, 2007, at Ogden Regional Medical Center, of Pneumonia.
She was born in Aberdeen, Idaho on 27 Sept. 1914 to Grace Claypool and Julius Larsen. She was a loving wife & mother of two. A Grandmother of 14, & Great-Grandmother of 41 & Great-Great Grandmother of 8.
She was preceded in death by her parents, all of her brothers & sisters, her husband, of 58 years, Archie Evan Wadsworth, & her son & Daughter in-law, Merlin Duane & Arlene (Paulsen) Wadsworth, & 2 Grandchildren: Scott Trenton & Brandy Fawn Wadsworth.
She is survived by her son, Wallace Evan Wadsworth, Seattle, WA; Grandchildren: Parker (Carolene)Wadsworth, Idaho Falls, ID; Duane (Deborah) Wadsworth, Oakley, ID; Deloy (Laurie) Wadsworth, West Haven, UT; Colin (Beth) Wadsworth, W. Jordan, UT; Von (Saralee) Wadsworth, Sugar City, ID; Lana (Tom) Holliday, Bremerton, WA; Paula (John) Ashcraft, Davie, FL; DaraLee (Michael) Millikan, Golconda, NV; Shanna (John) Wilding & Justin (Lanae)Wadsworth, Boise, ID; Amber (Tony) VanBuren & Shayne Wadsworth, Seattle, WA.
Dorothy was an active member of the LDS Church holding numerous Leadership positions & served a Mission at the Family History Center, SLC, UT. She is a published poet and a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Dorothy served her family by being the keeper of information including helping publish the “The Abiah Wadsworth” book. She will be missed by her loved ones and friends.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 pm, Saturday February, 24, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - 184 North Park St. Shelley, ID with Bishop Lynn Beck conducting. The family will receive friends Friday 7:00 - 8:30pm at Nalder Funeral Home - 110 West Oak St. Shelley, & Saturday morning from 11:00 till 12:40 at the Church. Internment will be at the Taylor Cemetery.
