Edith Alverda Robinson, 97, of Basalt passed away Friday, August 22, 2008 at her home in Basalt.
She was born in Basalt, Idaho on August 10, 1911 to Peter and Cora Peterson Yorgensen.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
On July 6, 1928 she married Ellis Robinson in Idaho Falls, Idaho. They had eight children.
She worked at the Basalt Store and Post Office for a number of years.
She enjoyed her family more than anything in life. Camping, her home and family get togethers were enjoyed often.
She is survived by four sons, Guy Robinson and Calvin (Janice) Robinson of Basalt; Jack (Gaila) Robinson of Shelley; Jay (Vicki) Robinson of Blackfoot; three daughters, Dorothy(Wayne) Hansen of Blackfoot; Karan (Gary) Fallis of Pocatello; and Shirley Hansen of Shelley; 25 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren, and 22 great great grandchildren, one sister, Leta Henke of Portland, Oregon.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ellis, son, Bud, daughter-in-law, Sharon, granddaughter, Brenda Barrington, and great great grandson Grant Nedds, Grandson-in-law, Rusty Mecham, and four siblings.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday August 26, 2008 at the Firth Stake Center (823 North 675 East) in Basalt with Bishop Sam Walker conducting. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7:00 till 8:30 P.M. at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) in Shelley and Tuesday morning 9:30 till 10:40 before the services at the church. Interment will be in the Basalt Cemetery.
