Edmund W. Mccullough

Edmund W. McCullough, Jr. of Draper, Utah passed away peacefully December 28, 2010 after a long illness.

He was born in Canton, Ohio on December 31, 1929.  After graduation from Excelsior High School in Norwalk, California, Ed joined the Marine Corp and served in the evacuation of Shanghai, China as Communist forces came to power.  After reaching the rank of Staff Sergeant in the Marine Corp, he enrolled at Cal State Los Angeles where he received his degree in accounting.

Ed worked in the accounting and financial services industry until his retirement in 1988.

He and Maxine were the picture of love and devotion to each other throughout the heights and challenges of life together.  As the director of numerous family travel trips throughout the western United States, Ed enjoyed the open spaces and grandeur of our National Parks.  Ed and Maxine cared for his mother, Galena, and Maxine’s mother, Thelma, for many years of devotion in their home.

Ed lived the principles of the Corp: duty, honor, devotion, and integrity.  Always a gentleman and a gracious host, Ed will be missed by his family and close friends.

Ed is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 58 years, Maxine, sons, Steven (Lesa) of Draper, Utah; Keith (Jennifer) of Newport Beach, California; and Michael (Amber) of Highland, Utah; sister Patricia Pitcher, and grandchildren Matthew, Austin, Trevor, Alyssa, Olivia and Campbell.

Funeral services will be 2:30 P.M. Monday January 3, 2011 at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) in Shelley.  Burial will follow in Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery.
