Elizabeth Anne White

April 3, 1931 — November 19, 2016

Elizabeth Anne White, 85, a resident of Shelley, Idaho passed away November 19, 2016 while in the care of Hospice and Fairwinds in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She is now reunited with the love of her life and her youngest daughter.

She was born in Greenville, Tennessee to William Arville and Nerea Novella Ricker on April 3, 1931. She was the oldest of 6 children. She lived in Tennessee until the age of 13, and at that time the family moved to Shelley.

She met George Leon White in 1948 and married October 29, 1948. The following year they began their family. Cynthia Anne was the first of 6 children. Soon to follow was Linda Lou, Gaylan Leon, Rodney Dee, Ina Sue and Lita Jo “Jody”.

She worked alongside her husband at a service station, which they owned, known as the City Service Center. After retirement she enjoyed traveling with her husband and they enjoyed many winters in Blythe, California, where they met and made many new friends. She loved many things in life, but family was her number one priority. She loved their mine in Challis, Idaho. She enjoyed cooking, visiting with family and friends, and taking walks holding her husband’s hand.

She is survived by her siblings, Leland Llano Ricker of Shelley, Idaho, Janice Marie Owens of Shelley, Idaho, Iva Kate Metcalf of Lafayette, Louisiana, and five children, Cynthia (Ric) Rivers of Irwin, Idaho, Linda (Ed) Powell of Palmer, Alaska, Gaylan (Suzanne) White of Shelley, Idaho, Rodney (Echo) White of Shelley, Idaho, Ina (Mike) Mulberry of Idaho Falls, Idaho; son-in-law, Duke Arave of Shelley, Idaho; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Marion and Laura Bowman and James and Mary Elizabeth Ricker; her parents, William and Nerea Ricker; her brother, Edward Allen Ricker; her sister, Sara Lee Gaarsland; her daughter, Lita Jo “Jody” Arave; her husband, George Leon White; a granddaughter, Marie Leann Mulberry; a great grandson, Spencer Michael Hansen.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 3, 2016 at the Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery under the direction of Nalder Funeral Home.
