Ellis Dee Sievers

Ellis Dee Sievers, 72, of Shelley passed away October 19, 2018.

He was born June 8, 1946 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Arthur Leo and Elma Lois Gibby Sievers. He graduated from high school in 1964.

On November 8, 1968 he married Helen D Hurley in Idaho Falls at the Trinity Methodist Church.

Ellis served a short stint in the U.S. Navy before moving to Ogden to build missile rockets for two years. He built house for five years with his father in law before becoming a mechanic for 35 years.

He loved the outdoors and sharing that with his family and friends. His hobbies included studying history and science, hunting, fishing, camping, and playing poker.

Ellis is survived by his wife, Helen of Shelley; children, Jennifer (Mike) Burton of Shelley; Steven Sievers of Tri-cities, Washington; David Sievers of Orem, Utah; Rebecca (Eric) Sievers-Mathey of Boise, Idaho; brothers, Dennis (Terry) Sievers of Nampa, Idaho; Roy Sievers of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Kent (Debbie) Sievers of Orem, Utah; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services will be held 1:00 P.M. November 17, 2018 at Elite Dance Studio, 270 S Park Ave. in Shelley. Arrangements are under the direction of Nalder Funeral Home.
