Frederick William Martindale

Frederick William Martindale, 77, of Idaho Falls passed away March 13, 2016 at his home under the care of Hands of Hope Hospice.

He was born September 28, 1938 in Oakley, Idaho to William Frederick and Freda Gordon Martindale.  He attended elementary school in Oakley.  Later his family moved to Idaho Falls where he attended Idaho Falls High School.  He earned an Associate’s Degree from Hastings Community College in Hastings, Nebraska.

He served in the United States Navy from 1956 to 1959.

On October 16, 1971 he married Carol June Nash in Iona, Idaho.

Frederick worked at Idahoan Fresh Pack until his retirement.

He is survived by his wife, Carol of Idaho Falls, children, Jamie Martindale of Idaho Falls, Bill Martindale of Phoenix, AZ, Jan Gohn of Caldwell, Joloine  Heavilin of Stevens Lake, William “Shane” Martindale of Portland, OR, step children, Dan Rogers of Cheyenne, WY, Dee Rogers of Lyons, KS, Wayne Rogers of Rexburg, Lois Barone of Hutchinson, KS, Brenda Theer of Lawrence, NE, sister, Leona Irwin of Issaquah, WA, 32 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, children, Becky Jo Martindale and Carl Allen Martindale and a brother, George Martindale.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
