Gabe Rick Clapp

Gabriel Rick Clapp was born August 21, 2007, to loving parents, Ron and Kealie. Gabe was a remarkable baby excelling at growth milestones and learning to read before starting any formal schooling. He was a loving and empathetic soul that brought immense joy to his family and friends. His quirky personality and sharp wit left an impression on anyone who got to know him.   

Gabe attended both Shelley and Firth schools. He was not a fan of traditional classroom instruction and decided to bypass that part of his childhood, opting to get his GED instead. Brilliant as he was, he took the exams for his GED and passed all of them on the first try. He scored high enough to enroll directly to post high school education despite only fully completing the ninth grade. 

On January 28, 2024, Gabe passed away at his home in Shelley. In the short time that Gabe was on this earth, he made a huge impression on those he chose to let into his life. He was an avid video game enthusiast, preferring classic gaming systems and independent titles. Among his favorites were Super Mario World, Deltarune, and the Persona series. He was known online as “Joni Fanny Pants” and “Ralsei1770.” Reading, Music, teasing his family, sharing his opinions and family pets were among Gabe’s favorite things.  

He is survived by his mother, Kealie (Condie), Georgetown, TX; father, Ron Clapp, Shelley, ID.; sister, Kyla, Philadelphia, PA.; brother, Maddox, Shelley, ID.; and sister, Olivia, Shelley, ID.; grandparents, Carol and Joseph Condie, Adrian, OR.; and grandmother, Ryla Clapp, Ammon, ID. He is preceded in death by his grandfather LeRoy Clapp. 

To say Gabe strongly disliked formal gatherings and being forced to dress up for activities that he found tedious would be a gross understatement. For that reason, the family has opted for an informal, open-house, celebration of life with no graveside service. The family will meet with friends from 12-4:00pm on Saturday, February 3^rd, at 8892 South Yellowstone Hwy, Idaho Falls, ID. 83402.
