Gayle Miner Madsen, 81 of Shelley, Idaho, died of natural causes at the Riverway Assisted Living and Memory Care Facility in South Jordan, Utah, on Nov. 24, 2021.
She was born in Murray, Utah, on Sept. 30, 1940 to Vern and Melva Miner, Gayle was a strong-willed, honest and fiercely loyal woman who enjoyed square dancing, water skiing and watching old westerns.
Gayle married her first husband at 16 and, after graduating from Cyprus High School worked with her father in their family business, Rancho Trailers, where she helped with trailer design and the manufacturing process. After divorcing, she went on a search for her life partner that ended when she met and married her husband Bryce Madsen in December 1987. The couple moved to Idaho in 1988 and they were married for nearly 30 years until he preceded her in death in August 2017.
She is survived by her son, Corey Green and his wife, Anita Green, as well as by her two grandchildren, Ryan (Taylor) Green and Nicole (Dylan) Green and by one great-grandchild.
Family and friends are invited to a graveside service to celebrate Gayle’s life at Taylor Cemetery in Idaho Falls, Idaho at 720 East 129 South at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2021. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Nalder Funeral Home.
