William Harrison Cox
1949 – 2025
William Harrison Cox, 76, passed away on April 16, 2025, in Shelley, Idaho.
He was born and raised in Iona, and his parents were Clinton Cox and Norma Conrad Cox. Harrison's greatest joy and purpose in life was his family. Everyone knew how much he treasured time with family, especially with his loving wife. Together, they enjoyed traveling to visit their children and grandchildren, creating memories that will never be forgotten. Those visits—filled with laughter, stories, and love—were some of their happiest times.
Harrison was a great farmer whose work and dedication to the land reflected his deep roots in the areas he farmed. He cherished his close friends and had a deep bond with his brother and farming partner, Gary. The business was known as Cox Brothers Farms, and they raised potatoes for In-N-Out Burger and other chip companies.
Whether it was a well-timed joke or a nickname only he could come up with, Harrison had a way of making people laugh and feel like they mattered. He could fix just about anything, and he was just as quick to offer help as he was a smile. His generosity knew no bounds—he gave freely of his time, his talents, and his heart. His legacy is one of hard work, humor, and deep devotion to his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clinton and Norma Cox; his brothers, Conrad, Roger, and Gary Cox; and his sister, Bonnie Clayton.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Teresa Cox; his children, Stephanie Thompson (Kent), Kerri Cobb (Steven), Travis Cox (Angie), and Daren Cox (Shayna); his siblings, Byard Cox (Shirley), Ginger Birch (Bruce), and Pauline Loosli (Brent); eleven cherished grandchildren; and eleven adored great-grandchildren.
Harrison will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
At Harrison’s request, a short graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on April 19, 2025 at the Taylor Cemetery. A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
