Jackie Wray Draper, 69, of Goshen, Idaho passed away July 30, 2010, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls, Idaho from complications related to recent heart surgery.
He was born May 7, 1941 in Blackfoot, Idaho to John W. Draper and Edna Wray Draper. He attended elementary schools in Moreland and Riverside, before attending junior high school in Snake River, and high school in Snake River and Blackfoot, graduating from Blackfoot in 1959.
Jack married Kathy Brown of Blackfoot, Idaho on December 30, 1960. They were later divorced.
Jack married Bonnie Hill Robinson of Pocatello on January 8, 1971. They were sealed in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on September 14, 1977.
They made their home in Pocatello for a short time before moving to a new home in Goshen, Idaho where they raised seven children.
Jack was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. At the time of his death Jack was secretary in the Goshen Ward High Priest Quorum. Early on Jack enjoyed playing softball and had the opportunity to play in the LDS Church softball tournament in Salt Lake City in 1958. He spent many happy hours in the outdoors: hunting, fishing, camping, golfing, and horseback riding. He also raised a garden of which he was particularly proud.
After high school graduation Jack drove spud trucks, a milk truck, a delivery truck for Anderson Lumber, and a Coca-Cola delivery truck before going to work in the grocery business for the rest of his work career. Twenty-seven years of his work career were spent working for Associated Food Stores out of Pocatello. He also worked many years for Saving Center in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie of Shelley, Idaho; children Randy Robinson (Shannon) of Idaho Falls, Kym (Perry) Wallace of Salt Lake City, Utah, Scott (Nancy) Draper of Glendale, Arizona, Darrin (Melissa) Robinson of Shelley, Idaho, Kurt (Nancy) Draper of Alexandria, Virginia, and Tanielle (Chad) McDaniel of West Jordan, Utah, 25 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. Jack is also survived by a brother Brett Draper of Boise, Idaho, and a sister, Kaylyn (Tom) Wilhelm of Shelley, Idaho.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents (John and Edna), a sister (Carol) and a son (Stewart).
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at the Goshen Ward LDS Church (792 N. 1090 E.) in Goshen. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday August 3

at Nalder Funeral Home (110 W. Oak) in Shelley and from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday morning at the Goshen Ward church. Burial will be at the Goshen Cemetery.
The family expresses their heartfelt appreciation for the many acts of kindness and thoughtful expressions of compassion shown by neighbors and friends.
