Jacob Lopez, 64, of Firth died October 31, 2007 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
He was born February 25, 1943 in Ogden, Utah to Joe Genaro and Effie Deherrera Lopez. He spent his early childhood at Bingham City with his grandparents. At the age of 12 he moved with his family to Rigby, ID, where he received his education.
He married Roberta Roker, they were later divorced. Jake married Toni Jensen in 1971.
Jake worked for Golden Valley Packers for 18 years as a butcher. When they moved back to the Firth area he was employed for Kit’s Foundry for 23 years until his retirement.
Jake loved to spend time with family. He would take fishing or hunting trips with everyone in town. His favorite area was up Horse Creek, Rawlins Creek and Brush Creek.
He is survived by: his wife, Toni of Firth, his children; Danny (Vivian) Lopez of Firth, Cathy (Jeff) Woodman of Port Orchard, WA, Melinda (Jerry) Loppopolo of San Jose, CA, Travis (Kathy) Lopez of Nampa, Tammy (Rick) Arriaga of Firth, and 15 grandchildren, Siblings; Millie (Pat) Arellano and Ralph Lopez of Blackfoot, Robert (Linda) Lopez of Nampa, Joey (Roger) Miller and Carmen (Ted) Bromley of Firth, and Priscilla (Tony) Swenson of Palisades.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Jimmy and Joe.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Sunday November 4th at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) in Shelley with Keith Johnson, conducting. The family will receive friends Sunday morning 9:00 till 10:45 A.M at the funeral home.
