Janeal Rae Bates John, 63, of Blackfoot passed away July 31, 2006 at her home under hospice care from cancer.
She was born August 31, 1942 in Vancouver, Washington to Glen Dee and Elvretta May Cooley Munger.
Janeal went to school in North Freemont and graduated from Bonneville High School.
In 1961 she married Dennis Bates. She had one daughter, Donna. They later divorced. She married Ronald John February 1, 1980. They were later sealed in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.
She worked for RT French for 19 years and MGM in Reno, NV and Hamilton. Later she was employed at Penford Products for 19 years. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She enjoyed living in the country. She helped with the livestock and loved taking care of her cats and dogs. She enjoyed ceramics, belly dancing, and playing keyboard.
She is survived by her husband, Ron John of Blackfoot, one daughter, Donna Bates Leathers of Idaho Falls, one sister, Myrna Wright of Boise, stepchildren, Kurt John of Goshen, Charmon John of Blackfoot, Annisa Stricker of Florida, Rachelle Fullmer of Idaho Falls, Clint John of Idaho Falls, two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday August 5th at 2:00 P.M. at the Wapello Second Ward Chapel (337 North 200 East). The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7:00 till 8:30 at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) in Shelley and Saturday 1:00 till 1:45 at the church. Interment will be in the Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery.
