Jayna Kaye Wareing, 51, of Firth passed away March 17, 2013 at her home after a long courageous fight with cancer.
She was born January 9, 1962 in Heber City, Utah to Ray Logan and Joan Tater Settles. Her parents were later divorced and her mom married Erman Duane Martindale, who became her second dad. Jayna was raised and attended schools in Shelley, graduating from Shelley High School.
On February 21, 1981 she married Wayne Wareing in Blackfoot, Idaho. Together they made their home in Firth.
She worked as a switch board operator at the Bingham County Court House and was a secretary for Idaho Supreme.
Jayne enjoyed crocheting, especially baby booties and dolls and making quilts. She was involved in the Blackfoot Relay For Life.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne Wareing of Firth; son, Shawn Wayne Wareing of Firth; daughter, Natalie D. (Colby) Hulse of Ammon; mother, Joan T. Martindale of Shelley; siblings, Steve Settles of Salmon; Jodi (Dwain) Gotch of Shelley; Spence Settles of St. George, UT; Rand Settles of St. George, UT; Jillene (Tom) Barnhart of Pocatello; Caroline Hemsley of Idaho Falls, granddaughter, Oaklee Ranae Hulse and one grandchild on the way. She was preceded in death by both her fathers.
The family would like to thank Aspen Home Health and Hospice, Snake River Oncology, and Huntsman Cancer Institute for the special care of Jayna.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at Nalder Funeral Home, 110 W Oak, in Shelley. The family will meet with friends Wednesday from 1:00 till 1:45 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery.
