Jeffrey Blust, 67, of Firth passed away January 25, 2020.
He was born August 10, 1952 at Camp Pendleton, California to Ira Hamilton and Barbara Wheeler. He graduated from Quincey High School in Quincey, California.
Jeff was drafted into the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He served in the Army from 1972 until 1974 when he received an honorable discharge. He then joined the California National Guard and attended Shasta City College in Redding, California on the GI Bill where he received an associate’s degree.
On May 24, 1996 he married Cathy Hoerner in Quincy, California.
Jeff worked for the Plumas County Road Department and Bob’s Glass in Quincy, California.
In 2003 Jeff and Kathy moved to Firth, Idaho. Jeff started his own business, Bingham Glass Service which he ran until the time of his death.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Kathy Blust of Firth, Idaho, mother, Barbara Blust of Quincy, California, daughter, Jennifer Blust of Quincy, California, son, Jason Blust of Quincy, California, brothers, Mark Blust of Meridian, Idaho, and Brad Blust of Quincy, California, step sister, Linda Martin of California, three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, February 6, 2020 at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) in Shelley. The family will meet with friends Thursday morning from 10:30 till 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Military rites will be performed by the American Legion, David B. Bleak Post 93 and the Army Honor Guard.
