Jeneal Faye Wattenbarger, 73 from Shelley, Idaho died peacefully Wednesday November 23, 2011 at her home in Shelley.
She was born February 21, 1938 in Idaho Falls, Idaho a daughter of Raymond and Audrey Wattenbarger the second child of a family of seven. She was raised on a farm in the New Sweden area where she attended school in Shelley and graduated from Shelley High School in 1956. During her younger years she was very active in the 4H program even winning a trip to the National 4H convention in Chicago for her efforts.
After graduation from High school she acquired a job working for two years as a secretary in Washington DC. Upon returning to Idaho she studied cosmetology in the Idaho Falls Area. She worked in that profession for many years, later she acquired her own business known as Jeneals Beauty Salon in Shelley where Jeneal loved doing her ladies hair. Her beauty shop was like home to many of her customers.
Jeneal loved quilting, sewing and crochet work. One of her most favorite things she loved to do was shopping. She was also active in the Riverdale grange for many years.
She is survived by three sisters and two brothers. Joan (Dennis) Cook, Janet (Bob) Schwarzman, Deverle (Caryl) Wattenbarger, Judy (Roger) Hadley all of the Shelley area. Dewayne (Sharlene) Wattenberger of St George, Utah.
Jeneal was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Audrey Wattenberger and one brother Billy Raye Wattenberger.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at the United Methodist Church (190 South Holmes Ave.) in Shelley. The family will receive friends Wednesday morning from 9:00 A.M. till 10:30 A.M. at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) in Shelley. Interment will be in the Rose Hills Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the United Methodist Church 190 South Holmes Avenue in Shelley, Idaho 83274.
