Jerry James “Bubby” Johnson, 26, passed away August 6, 2021 from injuries sustained in a motor cycle accident.
He was born April 19, 1995 in Idaho Falls to Jerry Johnson and Crystal Browning. He attended schools in Shelley and graduated from Idaho Falls Technical High School.
He married Leslie Franks and they were blessed with a son Diesel, who he loved dearly. The marriage also blessed him with a step daughter, Silvia Rose Franks. They were later divorced.
He was a talented artist and a good mechanic. He used his mechanics to make art. He often took random parts out of vehicles to build tables, chairs, and lamps. He also drove semi-truck.
He loved riding his motor bike, four wheeling, and even raced four wheelers. He enjoyed fishing.
His best friends were Eric Galvin, Brayden Kinghorn, and Hunter Albright.
He is survived by his son, Diesel James Johnson, mother, Crystal (Rick) Dial, father, Jerry Glen Johnson, siblings; Jennifer Dial, Jessica Dial, Jeremy Dial, grandpas; James “Chu Chu” Mauro, Merlin Dial, and John P. (Brenda) Leed, and his girlfriend, Kaydee.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Lucille and Dee Johnson, Charlene Mauro, Sharon Shuttie, and Annette Dial, brothers, Merlin Dean Dial and Jeffrey Lynn Dial.
Graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at the Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday morning from 9:30 till 10:30 A.M at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak).
