Jessica Ashley Harrison returned to our heavenly father on March 23, 2014 leaving behind all of those she touched in life.
Jessica was born July 15, 1996 and had lived in Shelley, Idaho for the last 8 years. She attended Shelley High School and was a member of the Shelley LDS 10
th
Ward. At Shelley High School she was a member of the FFA and Debate Team, both of which she loved to participate in activities. It was her request if anything should happen to her, she was to be put into her Honor FFA clothing.
She touched many lives, and brought joy and comfort to those around her. Laughing at the jokes of others, helping out and being a friend to those in need. Her greatest love was riding her horse Flicka in the fields and for 4-H competition. Jessica was a member of 4-H for 6 years in the equine area, and was President of her local 4-H chapter, “Sunset Mountain”. Her love of animals extended to our dogs, especially her one named Tipsy, her pot belly pig Princess Michebelly III, and all of the other horses.
Jessica loved the time she spent with the Young Women's Group going on retreats and enjoying the company of her sisters from the Ward. She always bragged about the fun and faith that was shared during these retreats, and how much she enjoyed being with the church leaders and other girls.
Jessica is survived by her father, Gary Harrison, mom, Shauna Wood, mother, Lorna Harrison, brothers, William Harrison, Gerry Martin, sisters, Angela Caviness, Shaeela Martin, Wendy Martin and a nephew, Taven Smith, and many other family members in the local area.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Thursday, March 27, 2014 at the Shelley Eighth Ward Chapel (184 North Park Ave) with Bishop Gary Dial, conducting. The family will receive friends from 10:00 till 11:45 a.m. Thursday before the services at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Nalder Funeral Home in Shelley.
It is our hope that all of Jessica's friends she had while she was with us will stop and say their goodbyes to a wonderful girl who we all shall miss. It is also our family's hope that the young people she knew will get help when they need it and cherish the memory Jessica left with everyone she touched.
