John David Howell

John David (J.D.) Howell, 52, of Seattle, Washington and former Firth resident passed away November 21, 2008 at Harbor View Hospital in Seattle WA from Cancer.            

He was born January 12, 1956 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Max Howell and Fay Brown Howell.

He attended school in Firth and graduated from Firth High School.

He moved sprinkler pipe for Esplin Farms and also helped in the potato harvest.  He was also employed at Smitty’s as a waiter for several years.

After graduating he moved to Utah and went to beauty school and worked for a short time in that profession.  He lived in California, Oregon, and Washington and worked for Xerox.  At the time of his death he worked in an antique store and also did massage therapy part time.

He liked to travel to various places.  He collected antiques, depression glass and Christmas ornaments.  He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

He is survived by his parents, Max and Fay Howell, brothers & sisters, Margaret (Laroy) Hillman, Susan (Ron) Gibb, Kathy (Wally) Marsden, Dennis Howell, Robert (Marilyn) Howell, Wayne (Shauna) Howell, and Dann Howell, a special friend, Turner and many other special friends.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 29, 2008 at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) in Shelley.  The family will receive friends Saturday morning 9:30 till 10:45 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Goshen Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to a charity of your choice.
