Jolene Hult Smith

Jolene Hult Smith, 63, of Nevada City, California, former Shelley resident, died June 7, 2006 in Grass Valley, California from injuries received in an automobile accident.  

She was born Oct. 14, 1942, in Shelley, Idaho, to Afton and Mervin Hult.  

She married Randolph R. Smith on Oct. 8, 1981.

She was a nurse at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and the Experimental Aircraft Association. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, greenhouse culture, nursing and was a lady of all trades.  

She is survived by her husband, Randolph R. Smith of Nevada City, California; son, Kevin L. Eckersley of Las Vegas, Nev.; mother, Afton R. Hult of Shelley, Idaho; sister, Deanna Rady of Hamer, Idaho; and brothers Lavar Hult of North Logan, Utah, and Brian Hult of Idaho Falls, Idaho.  

She was preceded in death by her father, Mervin L. Hult, and son, Jeffery L. Eckersley.  

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday June 23 at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak Street) in Shelley. The family will receive friends Friday morning 9:30 till 10:40 at the Funeral Home.  Burial will be at the Taylor Cemetery.
