Jonathan A. Harker

April 28, 1964 — February 15, 2010

Jonathan Andersen Harker (Jon), 45, of Shelley died at his home Monday February 15, 2010 from complications of Alpha 1 disease.

Jon was born on April 28, 1964 in Idaho Falls to Arthur Leroy and Helen Ruth Andersen Harker.  He attended schools in Shelley.

He married Tammy Rowbury and together had two children, Jeremy and Amy.  They were later divorced.  He married Tracy Wyatt and had two children, Joshua and Taylor and also became a step father to Jessica.  They were later divorced.

He worked in Concrete Construction, and drove a truck for Lott Trucking.  As his health declined he helped at a local Locksmith.

He enjoyed the outdoors and hunted every year until his health stopped him, he also enjoyed coin collecting and going to antique stores. 

Jon loved spending time with his kids and granddaughters. He watched over his ageing parents and helped as his health permitted.

He is survived by his children, Jeremy Jon Harker, (Beth Adkerson) of Idaho Falls; Amy "K" Sampson, (Dustin Smith) of Idaho Falls; Joshua Wyatt Harker of Shelley; Taylor Lynn Harker of Shelley; a step-daughter, Jessica Lynn Bates of Idaho Falls; parents, Arthur L. & Helen A. Harker of Shelley; brothers and sisters, Robert Harker,(Mary) of Chubbuck; Marilyn Nichols, (Dale) of Orem, Utah; Richard Harker,(Debbie) of Provo, Utah; Darla Johnson, (Lanier) of Saratoga Springs, Utah; Melanie Mcneil,(Chris) of Riverton, Wyoming; grandchildren, JDynn Sampson of Idaho Falls; Mckinley Harker of Idaho Falls.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Darwin Harker, sister, Alise Harker, nephew, Nathan Harker, niece, Kaitlyn Marvel.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday February 20, 2010 at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) in Shelley. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 P.M. and Saturday morning 10:00 until 10:45 A.M. at Nalder Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery.
