Joshua Brian Freeman, 31, son of Corey L. Freeman and Lori Williams Freeman, passed away unexpectedly in an automobile accident on November 5, 2021.
Josh was born in Multnomah County, Oregon on March 14, 1990. Josh grew up in Basalt, Idaho and graduated from Firth High School in 2008. After his college studies he joined the Marine Corps in 2010, where he united with a brotherhood of lifelong friends.
Josh’s pride and joy was his son, Isaiah. His smile would light the room at the thought or mention of Isaiah, and he never missed an opportunity to express his love for his child and the joy he had in being a father.
Josh had a passion for disc golfing and made long-lasting friends in the disc community. Josh was a friend to everyone he met, as he went out of his way to cheer up others and to always see the best in any situation.
He is survived by his son Isaiah Elliot Freeman, Isaiah’s mother Sarah, his father Corey L. Freeman (Basalt), brother Alex J. Freeman (Firth), his grandmother Joy Hansen (Idaho Falls), and many cousins, aunts and uncles who loved him dearly.
Josh was preceded in death by his sweet mother Lori Williams Freeman, and his grandparents Franklyn and Nancy Freeman (Basalt).
Graveside services will be held at the Basalt Cemetery on Saturday December 4th, at 11:00 with Military honors. A luncheon afterwards will be held at the Basalt Ward building.
