Juanita Whiting, 80, passed away quietly at her home in Shelley on Wednesday, July 28th.
Juanita was born in St. Anthony, Idaho, to Eldred and Ruby Rawson, and graduated from South Fremont High School in 1959. She was employed in various positions with different contractors working at the “site” for many years, and was a full time mom for many of the years that she had young kids. Juanita was married to her sweetheart Richard Whiting for 58 years. They were married in the Idaho Falls Temple in 1963.
Juanita is preceded in death by her parents, Eldred and Ruby Rawson, her daughter Sandi Whiting, and a granddaughter, Tazia Kraus.
Juanita is survived by her husband Richard Whiting, one brother, Kenneth Rawson of Sugar City, and four children. Jolene Whiting, Julie (Stuart) Kraus, Carl (Margie) Whiting, and Bart (Leann Whiting) and eight of the most incredible grandchildren anyone has ever had. From oldest to youngest, they are Brandon Whiting, Jacob Whiting, Makenzie Kraus, Ashley Whiting, Andrew Kraus, Ethan Whiting, Emily Whiting, Megan Whiting, and Ainsley Kraus. These children were her pride and joy.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, August 2, 2021 at the Shelley South Stake Center (675 South Milton Ave.). The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 till 7:30 P.M at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) and Monday from 10:00 till 10:45 A.M. at church. Interment will be in the Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery.
