Julie Ann Dye Munger, 50, passed away in her home Friday, June 22, 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer. She will be remembered for her faith, compassion, service, kindness, friendship, and her many musical talents.
Julie was born February 27, 1957 to Warren and Florence Hacking Dye in Idaho Falls, ID. She grew up in Firth, ID, and graduated from Firth High School. She attended Ricks College and Brigham Young University earning a degree in Elementary Education with a specialty in reading
Julie was an active member of the LDS church and served as a missionary in the Italy Padova Mission. She served in many church leadership and teaching positions, most recently in the Relief Society organization. Julie also enjoyed genealogical research and family history.
Prior to her marriage, Julie taught at Kinghorn Elementary in Rigby, Idaho for ten years. After her marriage to Kenneth Munger on May 12, 1990, she was a devoted wife and mother.
Through her musical and organizational talents, she was involved in many church and civic activities and was instrumental in initiating the Firth Community Christmas Concert.
Julie is survived by her husband, Kenneth Munger and by her children, Kinzi Kay, Ashli Ann, and Warren Edward. She is also survived by her siblings Roger (Rosa) Dye, Firth; Martha Harker, Provo, UT; Joyce Dye, Idaho Falls; LaNell (Don) Wainright, Darlington; Myrna Ard, Firth; Robert (Nancy) Dye, Orofino; and sister-in-law, Valeta Dye, Firth. She was preceded in death by her parents; as well as a brother, Jay Dye, and two sisters, Marvetta Brock and Letha Smith.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2007, 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at Nalder Funeral Home, 110 W. Oak St. in Shelley.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 29, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing from 9:30-10:45 a.m. at the Firth L.D.S. Ward, 744 N. 600 E., Firth, Idaho with Bishop Todd Williams conducting. Burial will be at the Firth Cemetery.
