June Krista Miller

June Krista Miller, 91, of Idaho Falls passed away April 23, 2014 at Teton Acute Care in Idaho Falls.

She was born June 9, 1922 in Shelley, Idaho to Leroy and Henrietta Madsen Johnson.

She was educated in Shelley and after school she met the love of her life Retha “Curley” Miller.

They later married on January 31, 1948 in Walla Walla, Washington.

In her younger years she worked in department stores and after her marriage she and her husband ran successful businesses and even ran a dance hall in Firth, Idaho.

They lived a few years in Alameda, California before moving back to Idaho Falls.

June was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

She always kept a beautiful home and yard.

She was a very caring and loving person and she always had a beautiful smile.

She also loved to go camping and take lots of trips with Retha to Jackpot, Nevada.

June was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four brothers and five sisters.

She is survived by one sister, Carol Taylor of Firth, ID; one brother, Ross “Ellen” Johnson of Iona, ID; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Nalder Funeral Home, 110 West Oak Street, in Shelley.  The family will receive friends Tuesday morning for one hour prior to services at the funeral home.  Burial will be in the Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery.
