Kathy Leigh Clinger

Kathy Clinger, 71, of Shelley, passed away on January 08, 2025, after a long-term battle with heart disease. 

Kathy was born on May 26th, 1953 to Dwayne and Peggy Doyle in Sheridan, Wyoming. 

After graduating from Sheridan High School in 1971, she studied political science at Brigham Young University. After graduation, she landed her first job as a nursing assistant for Sheridan County Hospital, which was followed by a book-keeping furniture store job. 

In 1972, she met Steven Clinger, and they wed in 1977. They went on to have two children, Christopher and Jennifer. After the first child was born, Kathy spent the rest of her life caring for her family. 

She also had other activities such as collecting penguin souvenirs, doll collecting, and looking for antiques just like her mother enjoyed. 

Kathy was predeceased by her parents and grandparents. 

She is survived by her husband, Steven, son Christopher, daughter Jennifer, and granddaughter Addison.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at Nalder Funeral Home, 110 West Oak Street, Shelley. The family will receive friends Tuesday morning from 10:00 a.m. till 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery.
