Katie Jo Finck

Katie Jo (Dalrymple) Finck died on Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at her home in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Her quick wit and off-kilter sense of humor saw her through many of life’s challenges, but could not see her through her final test.

Katie was mom to two delightful daughters, Ashli Jo Finck and Abigael Paige Biorn, as fiery in spirit as their mom. They are left in the loving and capable hands of their dads, Brandon Finck and Nick Biorn, with the support of grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins who treasure them both.

Katie was very close with her parents, Richard and DeAnna Dalrymple of Shelley, ID, and her siblings, DanaLyn (Tim Sorenson) of Palmer, AK, Ronne (Joel Rhoades) of Idaho Falls, ID and J.R. (Jaclyn) Dalrymple of Spring Creek, NV, who are all deeply saddened by her untimely death. Her nieces and nephews A’Lena Sorenson, Loggan Just, Keagan York, Kaeson Dalrymple-Sorenson, Brandon Drew, Kyle Dalrymple and Hailey Dalrymple will miss her zany nicknames, rough housing and anecdotes. They all adored her.

Katie graduated from Firth High School in 1998 and took classes at ISU. She did work as a CNA and then was a stay-at-home mom. She struggled with rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia for most of her adult life.

Katie is survived by those mentioned above and an abundance of family members including her 90 year old grandpa, Hyrum Dale Mathews of Shelley, Idaho. She will be buried next to her cousin and best friend Shanna Mathews:  Blanche and Dorothy together at last.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at the Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery under the direction of Nalder Funeral Home.
