Kaye “Rock” Barnett Adamson, 56, of Shelley, passed away March 10, 2008, at his home under the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho.
Kaye was born at the Eaton Maternity Home in Shelley, Idaho on August 21, 1951 to Gerald Adamson and Kathleen Barnett. He was raised on the Adamson Farm north of Shelley by his grandmother, Grace M. Adamson, and his father. He graduated from Shelley High School in 1971.
After graduation he worked as a truck driver for Nulph Brothers of Shelley, E&R Transportation of American Falls, and Doug Andrus Distributing of Idaho Falls. He also worked as a farmhand.
On August 25, 1981 he married Reneta Humphries in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served as Sunday School Secretary, Elders Quorum Secretary, ward clerk, and primary teacher.
He is survived by his wife, Reneta Adamson of Shelley; his sons, Gerald Adamson of Pocatello, Hyrum (Amy) Adamson of Idaho Falls, Jared Adamson, and Jonathon Adamson both of Shelley, and one brother Gary Adamson of Caldwell.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sons, Kason and Jacob Adamson.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday March 13, 2008 at the Sandcreek Ward Chapel (1101 East 1250 North). The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7:00 till 8:30 P.M. at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) in Shelley and Thursday morning at 9:30 till 10:40 at the church. Burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery.
