Keith Drollinger, 85, of Shelley passed away May 31, 2009 at his home under hospice care.
He was born in Ririe, Idaho on October 2, 1923 to Cecil John and Norma Delone Harris Drollinger.
He was married to Lillian May Stoneberg on June 14, 1943 in Osgood. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple. He and Lillian had five children, Joyce, Bob, Jackie, Cathy and Con. Keith was a dedicated and loving father.
He spent the early years of their marriage farming in Osgood and then moved to Shelley in 1962 where he was a partner in a potato trucking company. He also worked at Beddes Farm Equipment and Dairy Systems and for the City of Shelley.
After retiring in 1990, he and Lillian served in the Idaho Falls Temple as ordinance workers until Lillian passed away in February 2004. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in various capacities up until the time of his passing and set a fine example for his family and friends.
He enjoyed reading and attending activities for numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his great-great grandson. He cherished the times spent with his family and friends whether they were working or playing.
He is survived by his sons Robert (Debbie) Drollinger of Shelley and Conley Drollinger of Price, Utah; daughters, Joyce (Robert) Larna of Twin Falls, Jaqueline (Robert) Johnston of Cody, Wyoming and Cathryn Olsen of Shelley; sister, Betty Albertson of Idaho Falls; brothers, Max (Mary Ellen), Dale (Shirley) of Idaho Falls, Larry (Nelda) of Rigby, Richard (Julie) of Firth; 22 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, three sisters, two brothers and one grandson.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 5, at the Shelley LDS 4th Ward, 184 N. Park, with Bishop Dennis Crofts officiating. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Nalder Funeral Home, 110 W. Oak St. in Shelley and from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Friday prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Shelley.
