Laroy Vaughn Hillman

Laroy Vaughn Hillman died on October 17, 2022, at his home in Firth, Idaho.

He was born with his twin, Lanae, on May 19, 1954 in Shelley, Idaho to Lyle and Viola Hillman. He grew up in Firth and spent much of his childhood working on the family farm and learning the art of construction, which later became his profession. He was a skilled contractor and built many beautiful homes for his family.

On May 30, 1975, he married Margaret Howell in the Idaho Falls Temple. They had eight children that they raised in the Firth, Sugar City, Idaho Falls, and Roberts areas. He loved dogs and his black Labrador, Molly, was his constant companion. He enjoyed being in the outdoors and spending time boating on the lake and camping with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Verdell, Derryll, Danny, sister Carrie, and his daughter, Heather.

 He leaves behind his wife, Margaret, children: Amy Magleby (Scott), Matthew Hillman (Cindy), Becky Curtis (Patrick), Brittany Yearsley (Jonathon), Jenny Carter (Tyson), Jason Hillman (Jennie), and Chelsey Suter (Kody), and his nineteen grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, October 21, 2022, at the Firth Ward Chapel (744 N 600 E). The family will meet with friends Friday morning from 9:00 till 10:40 am at the church. Burial will be in the Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery under the direction of Nalder Funeral Home.
