Leota Ruth Olmos, 70, of Rigby passed away April 27, 2021 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
Leota was born November 28, 1950 to Donald and Donna Jones in Fort Lewton King, Washington. She grew up and attended school in Shelley, Idaho.
On November 21, 1968 she married Dewey Lane Fallis Sr. They were blessed with five children: Julie, Tammy, Malinda, Josie, and Dewey. They made their home in Idaho Falls and Ammon. They were later divorced. A few years later she married Jose Olmos and was later divorced.
She made her living at various jobs as a maid, warehouse worker and then found her calling in life working at Good Samaritan caring for others.
Leota’s greatest treasure in life was her family. There was nothing she would not do or sacrifice for those she loved.
Leota was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
She found joy in camping, crocheting, her flower gardens, reading, playing on her kindle, but most of all in spending time with her legacy, her children and grandchildren.
Leota is survived by her children: Julie (Dave) Ferguson, Tammy (Bryan) Irish, Malinda (Bruce) Anderson, Dewey (Kandace) Fallis, siblings: Rick (Dee) Jones, Roxann Jones (Gerald Wilhelm), Marguerite Thomson (Refugio Olmos), Perry Jones, 20 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and two on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Donna Jones, siblings: Leonard Jones, Susan Jones, and daughter, Josie Goldman
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Nalder Funeral Home, 110 West Oak Street in Shelley with Justin Palmer officiating. The family will meet with friends Saturday from 12:00 p.m. till 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery.
