Leroy Scott Olsen III, was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on July 9th, 1956, to Leroy Olsen II and Jacquiline Olsen. His sister Kim was 4 years older than him.
Scott got his love for music from his parents. His dad was a band instructor for the Portland, Oregon School District. Scott started playing the trumpet when he was 5 years old. He played various instruments throughout his life, but the trombone was his favorite.
Scott played in his first band at the age of 14, and at 19 he started the band Cruz Control, and played all around the USA. Scott became a band instructor, and spent his life bringing music to anyone he met.
Scott joined the US Army on a European tour with the Army Jazz Band he was injured and sent home on an Honorable Discharge.
Scott met his wife Elizabeth Behrhorst while teaching a Clark County School District in Dubois, Idaho, She said she had to make the first move because Scott was to shy. They were married on February 25, 1992 in Portland Oregon. They moved to Firth, Idaho in 1993 and made the little town their home. They loved to meet with friends at Collets Bar. Scott and Elizabeth love to travel to the Cayman Islands for weeks at a time. Scott loved to rescue any stray dog and would give them a loving home to live out their life.
Elizabeth would like to thank Donny Collet, Felecia Steed, Rhonda Wilson, Frank and Robert for the loving care they gave to Scott while he was in the hospital, and making sure his wife was taken care of when he couldn't be there.
