Leticia Letty Elizondo Jackson

March 17, 1976 — February 13, 2015

Leticia (Letty/Lisa) Elizondo Jackson, 38, of Shelley passed away February 13, 2015 in Trenton, New Jersey.

Letty was born March 17, 1976 to her parents Vicente and Guadalupe Elizondo. She grew up in Shelley, ID where she resided until she graduated High School in 1994. After graduation Letty moved to Tennessee to be a nanny, where she met the love of her life Tim Jackson who was stationed there with the U.S. Military.  They were married July 12, 1998 in Idaho Falls, ID. Throughout their marriage they were stationed in Hawaii, Florida, Texas, Colorado and New Jersey. Letty was always so proud of Tim and his accomplishments as he advanced through the ranks, eventually becoming a Command Sargent Major in the U.S. Army.

Letty was the middle child of seven children. She loved her family very much and always kept everyone on their toes with her witty personality and infectious smile. As a child she enjoyed riding her bike with her siblings to Olson’s for ice cream and onion rings and going to the park to play kick ball.  She and her brother Jairo were close in age and shared many friends growing up. Letty loved to stay up late with him and share stories after they would return home from weekend dates.  She was always the happiest when surrounded by her family.

Although Letty never had any children of her own she adored each and every one of her nieces and nephews. She was always checking up on them making sure they knew to never settle for anything but the very best. She had a sweet way of holding their faces and calling them Angel, Baby, and My Precious. When she was in town she always made time for them and supported them at their sporting events.

Letty loved to play volleyball, go dancing, write poetry, go out to eat, and most of all, she loved to shop. She loved fashion, always keeping up with the latest styles and brands, making sure to always look her best. Over the years that she was away from home she met many dear friends that she considered to be family. She also adopted two puppies Roxy and Jaxx that she loved to spoil.

Letty was a loving wife, sister, and friend.  She was always so happy and full of life and love. She will always be remembered for her wit and great sense of humor. She never missed an opportunity to say I love you and make everyone feel special. She made everyone feel that they were her favorite. We will cherish the memories we have of her and she will be greatly missed.

Letty was preceded in death by her beloved mother Lupe Elizondo. She is survived by her husband Tim Jackson, father Vicente Elizondo and her siblings Anna (Dick) Thomas, Saul (Melissa), Jairo (Shelly), Jody (Gerry) Iwakiri, and twin brothers, Henry (Cynthia) and Eric.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Christ the King Church, 1690 East 17
