Linda Joyce Malcom

Linda Joyce Malcom passed away August 21, 2017 after a long illness.

She was born to Howard and LaWanda Hodges on January 8, 1950 in Ava, Missouri. The family moved to Idaho in 1956 settling in Shelley in 1960. She attended school in Shelley.

Linda married the love of her life Bruce Malcom in April 1973. They resided their married life in and around the Shelley area until Bruce’s death in 2002. In 2008 she moved into the family home to help her dad until his death. She then bought the family home, residing there till her death.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one baby brother, two sisters (Jo and Alice), her beloved husband (Bruce), and a brother in law (Dwaine).

She is survived by a son, David, step son Cory, step daughter Pennie, seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and two sisters, Ilene, Claudia, and niece Tara and family.

Linda wishes to give a special thanks to friends Scott and Cathy Wolff, Byron and Kathlyn Howell, John and Judy Sensabaugh and Terry and Linda Brunson whom Linda owed her final years of happiness. Linda also wishes to give special thanks to her dear friend Mason for his help and support.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 24, 2017 at the Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery under the direction of Nalder Funeral Home.
